I’ve been mentioned in Bride to Be magazine for the rings I designed & made for Fiona McGee and Lucas Hume in 2013.
The rings are 18 carat white gold. Fiona’s ring is curved to fit around her Art Deco diamond cluster engagement ring and features engraving on the outside, inside and both edges by Emma Fielden. The outside is a twist design which symbolises the couple being entwined together in marriage, and the edges feature a zig zag pattern inspired by my grandmother’s antique 1930s platinum engagement ring. The inside (of both rings) had the couple’s names and the date. Emma’s work is immaculate considering the ring is only 1.6mm wide.
The rings were presented in a box that I custom made from Tasmanian blackheart sassafras, with an interior of merino wool felt.
